Like wood, stone is one of the oldest materials used by humankind, and nowadays it’s available in a near infinite variety of colours and characteristics. In Markus and Maximilian Steininger, Janua relies on two of the most passionate stonemasons around – with an inherited love of the material that stretches back four generations. This passion didn’t take long to rub off on Christian Seisenberger. The Janua boss makes a point of visiting Lake Garda with Markus and Maxi Steininger every year to personally select stone slabs for the depot.
The working process at Steininger starts with the right choice of material. Not every granite or marble slab is suitable for our products.
The measurement of the blank slab plays an important role. Especially while working with a noble and precious marble slab you should take care to not have any waste. For our furniture Steininger supplies mainly the following natural stones: Marble Calacatta Veneto, Marble Calacatta Verde, Granite Rainforest Green, Granite Rainforest Brown, Marble Jurassic Brown Marble Fossil Brown and Marble Black & Gold.
