JANUA goes Outdoor!

Janua stands for regionality and sustainability. That's why we are now relying on local robinia, also known as acacia, for the new outdoor collection instead of tropical wood. This is just as resistant as tropical woods, but in contrast can be sustainably produced.

This means that no more is taken from the forest than grows back. In Europe, forests are managed according to this principle. In tropical forests, on the other hand, sustainable forestry is difficult and very expensive. In addition, there are high transport costs for tropical timber to Europe. That is precisely why it is important for us to rethink our approach now and rely on ecological alternatives such as acacia for our products.
